I am actually very glad with our work, which even though was late, and done at last minute, there are some things which have a good quality, and in the end we did have fun doing it!

6.12.11
Today we received a notice, which made us be in a way extremely under pressure, for we were very late in terms of delivery. Due to this delay, Mr. Vigo noticed us that we had to give in everything by today's lesson, in order for us to have something to be graded with. Of course, since we still didn't do the editing, and we saw the other group take a long time doing their editing, we were extremely nervous and afraid of not completing the editing. However, half way through the lesson we had a poster done, and our editing too, leaving us space to have fun with it, and create some extras, such as bloopers!
Finally complete..
We have finally completed our scenes, however we wanted to have done the editing today...however, not everything is possible therefore we have at least done our filming, and we can now fully focus on the edit for next lesson.
Today, i was extremly stressed out, for I was really worried we wouldn't manage to complete this, because we had already over passed our deadline, and that wasn't a positive thing. However, in the end I was quite glad with the work completed, and the result of it!
We are reaching the end...
We have found ourselves in a bomb ticking situation, since we are very late in relation to the other group. We are looking at them already editing their movie, and us...well, we are still half way through our filming.
However, we have realized how much we need to work, therefore we are finally taking care of it, being focused and able to complete the amount of scenes we wanted per day. I believe that in comparisson to our last few weeks, where honestly, we didn't do much, placing us now on the position we find ourselves in, we have at last realized what we had to do.
I am glad we are finally doing something, for I was beginning to worry...indeed, I am still a bit, for it still isn't enough to keep us at rest, but it is something!
Our Characters
Each person in our group has a specific character and a specific job, which they carry throughout the process of this play. Since we are turning this play into a movie, our jobs have turned into more technological ones in regards to the movie.
This is our list:
Manel Simões - Manel de Sousa Coutinho, Madalena's present husband, who is working as the Director of the play!
Sofia Vilardebó (me) - Madalena Vilhena, the main characters, and I am working as the producer of the play!
Lovisa Nilson - Miranda, Madalena's friendly maid, who works on graphical design!
Sarah Mussa - Maria, Madalena's daughter, who works on deciding the costumes of the characters!
Francisco Ribeiro - Telmo, the family's affiliate friend, who works with Nestor on editing the filming!
Nestor Vilarino - Frei Jorge Coutinho, Manel's brother, who works with Kiko on the editing of the movie!

18th of October
Today, we finally finished the first scene, and had it re created. We were able to have the third scene finished, therefore what we are now going to do while we wait for the other scenes to be done, is plan how the scenery should be and what sort of props will be needed.
I believe this lesson, was finally productive and we finally got things going, in order to have the following lessons organized and be able to finally move onto filming.
11th of October
Today, we finally came to ourselves, and understood that we were extremely late as a group, for we haven't done any filming yet, and our scenes aren't even modified, therefore, we decided that we would all be producers, and by dividing our group into four pairs, we gave out a scene to each pair, so that we could modify it.
I was placed with Kiko, and together we will re create a first scene.

The Beginning
I finally began my blog for Drama, which will be used as my process journal throughout the year. In each unit I'll be describing what we are supposed to do, my progress throughout the topic and a end of unit reflection.
Therefore, to start on with the new topic of Drama, I'll first of all explain how it's all working.
For our first unit of Drama in Year 11, we are studying both romanticism and modernism, but in order for us to be able to complete both topics, we divided our class into two groups. These two groups will each act and make a movie out of their interpretation of one of the plays. There are two plays, one which will be performed in Portuguese, Almeida Garrett's "Frei Luiz de Sousa" and the other one in English by Brecht, called "Mother Courage and her Children".
